Move in date (flexible)- around the 10th October (Rent is paid on the 25th of each month so if you move in earlier, you do not have to pay a full month's rent for October :) )
The House:
Our house is near to Dennis Station, right near (equidistant to...!) local stores and the station shops and just up the road is High Street Northcote. 3 bedroom weatherboard house: tidy, quirky, wooden floorboards, fireplaces (not that we need them much now) and a big lounge space with 3 sofas. Big backyard, barbeque and vegie patch.
Us:
We are 2 girls (gay couple 25 & 28) and a guy (29) who is straight and a lawyer but we try not to hold that against him! We are professional and sociable: love to go out to Northcote, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Richmond (haven't yet tried Clifton Hill- has anyone?!); watching live music, random events and Sketch City (thats mine- I'd love to find a fellow doodler housemate!). We all pretty much do our own thing and the vibe is chilled. We are looking for someone into similar interests that will join us for a beer or three... or not.. you should be easy like a Sunday morning (minus the connotations!). Two housemates are environmental enthusiasts, one housemate is a 'human-induced-climate-change-skeptic' (but will do her part, but definitely not because of the 'global warming'... If you can convince me (ahem, I mean "them"), bring it on! ;-)
The Room:
You would be right at the back corner of the house so there will be a bit of privacy for you- the two windows pictured look out into the garden and the room is bright and sunny. If wood paneling isn't to your taste, this room may drive you insane [are there any people in the world who actually love this stuff?!]. Unsure as to why the owners have done this, it certainly makes the room quirky at least. There is one white wall in the room though, so you could always look at that (might hurt your neck after a while) or venture out and wander around the house (but not in a freakish way please).
The room is big enough- room to dance, if that's your thing. The ceiling slopes down (on purpose!) but not in an 'ouch-my-head' kind of way unless you are like our male housemate who looks rather like a human in a hobbit hole when he goes in there.

Our lovely ginger puddy tats are about 6 months old and will certainly do their best to welcome you into the house by sitting on your neck, sitting on your lap, displaying their Gladiators show for you or licking your nose in the morning (these things are of course optional!). You don't have to love cats, but as long as you don't pull their tails or try to palm off cheap cat biscuits as Whiskers, they will love you as if you did.
