Characteristics: lightweight, combines shoe support and protection with the lightness of a sandal, super breathable, open mesh design, adjustable heel strap allows for excellent heel hold and a customized heel fit, minimalistic and strong lace for one-pull tightening. 

Material: leather contour outer strips with mesh fabric - the mesh makes them ideal for wet area walking, and for use while kayaking, canoeing, or participating in other water sports.  They also have a cord which you can pull very tight so it doesn't feel like they will fall off, especially when wet.

Condition: These shoes have been worn about 8-12 times while I was on an overseas trip.  I bought them to use while away but I don't have any need for them anymore.
