I am looking for someone who needs private child care for one or two children, as I do. That way, we can share a private baby-sitter and keep the costs down. I need a sitter for my 14-month old boy, but I can't afford to pay a good hourly rate on my own. If we could share the care, we could each pay the sitter $10 an hour. In addition, we could do some baby-sitting swaps with each other. I need care for four hours, three afternoons a week (that is, 3 x 4 hours), though I am flexible with this. I am in Fitzroy (close to the city), but I work at Burwood, so a location near either  is fine with me (and my house is fine as well). I am also willing to travel further if necessary. I would envision that the sitter takes the kids to the library and play-group etc.
