Wanted: Senior Fire Safety Design Engineer

Our Client has the opportunity for you to become a key member of their Fire Engineering Team within their Building Services Consulting sector. They are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Safety Engineer to be part of an EPCM leader in their field as they are able to provide engineering, management and advisory services to both the public and private sectors. 

Reporting to the Principal, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of medium to large size local and international projects. 

You will actively be involved:

• In the coordination and management of the delivery of Fire Safety design 
• Liaise with clients 
• Attend design meetings 
• Development of Fire Safety Engineering Reports 
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and other documentation
• Perform tasks associated with site inspections and reporting 
• Provide guidance to junior staff as a mentor
• Deal with Project Leaders, Clients and the Project Design Team
  

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of projects to meet quality, time and budgetary requirements; and to meet or exceed client expectations. You will also be involved with the provision of technical leadership to project teams of engineers and drafters in a wide range of fire safety work.  

You will have:

• Degree in Fire Engineering and or eligible to a be a registered Fire Engineer 
• Minimum 10 years Fire Safety Design experience in a consulting practice 
• Technical expertise and a strong desire to learn new skills  
• Experience in a variety of projects such as the design of services 
• Experience in dealing with Project Leaders, Clients and the Project Design Team 
• Good understanding of the BCA and relevant Australian Fire Safety Standards 
• Exposure to project delivery
