Date Listed: 09/10/2008 A Fast growing Production Company in the heart of Brunswick seeks in conjunction with a Private RTO, (5) part-time Junior trainees (school leavers are encouraged to apply) for “Traineeship Positions” in the Screen, Film and stage production Industry &"Film and Television". You will be working on a number of different production projects including theatre / musical productions for stage as well as feature films, commercials, plus streaming from the web. Applicants will get a chance to work in all different positions within the Industry sector. Trainees will complete a Certificate III in Media (CUF30107), over a 6 to 10 month period, depending on the competency of person, and previous VET in schools certificates they may have completed. Suitable applicants will than go onto the next level of training, after that period of time. Jobs and training will include: Teamwork, OH&S and communication and general industry knowledge, as well as critical and creative thinking techniques, Production planning and management, preproduction work- including making sets, assisting in film and stage productions- camerawork, audio & sound, boom, lighting set-up and technical operation, post-production work of editing, animation, web design, and bumping out of stage productions. Wage while under traineeship will be under the NTA wages. Work locations and training will be held at our Brunswick Campus and Production studios, or out on Locations during shoots. A car is not required, as public transport of Tram, Bus and Train are within close walking distance. Applicants must : Be reliable and flexible with their working hours- as it will not always be 9-5, Be a team player, have good command of the English language, and computer skills at least of AQF level 1 IT (minimum), but higher would be preferred, with pre-training being available.
