An new exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Database Administrator with at least 3-5 years experience as a SQL server DBA and ERP Systems (preferably Sage line 500 but not essential)

Based in Melbourne you will be:

Responsible for supporting the operation and administration of SQL databases.

Assisting in the change management and deployment of new and upgraded ERP system modules.

Acting as both the analyst and the programmer; therefore it is necessary to be able to understand what the business is requesting.

To be successful for this role ideally you will have:

A degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of qualifications/3 – 5 years experience is essential.

A solid understanding of SQL server DB (tables, system commands, stored procedures, triggers, backups etc)

Designing and testing Data Models, Implementation and support experience essential.
Be able to produce reports in MS reporting and to convert a small number of existing VB programs to Java.

Strong troubleshooting skills with excellent understanding of Microsoft products and writing technical Documents

Strong communication skills and ability to priorities work to specific deadlines and to manager and co-ordinate projects independently.
