Due to an unexpected departure to New Zealand, we have to sell our beloved RUSTY!!
He is an 8 seater van we have owned for 2 years, and taken us 30, 000Ks around OZ! We have taken him across the Nullabor twice, Across Central Oz and the corrugated roads of North WA...and in all this time we have only broken down twice...and both times the affected parts were totally replaced with brand new parts!! Reliably starting first time every time until very recently,he even started first time after sitting in storage in a field in Kununurra for 3 months! He's travelled all over the country, and is always well recieved - he rapidly became a local celebrity in many of the towns we visited! Before selling we decided to have him checked over to see why recently he sometimes has trouble starting - turns out the starter motor is drawing too much current, and will eventually need replacing. But so long as he is started regularly he never has a problem. (our mechanic quoted this work at about $300) Here's his important details: Nissan Nomad Van 1990 Less than 183,000KM on the clock!! WA plates , CV 333 WA Certified Immobilisor 2.2 Litre Unleaded petrol Power Steering Has had some work done when we first bought him, new exhaust, front wheel rotors, clutch slave cylinder, new engine cooling fan, new windscreen and seals. Some small character flaws, his back door can only be unlocked from the inside, and he has a couple of small rust spots, hence the name! and he no longer has the hub caps as shown in the photo. 8 seater - all seats full recline so the back can be used for sleeping! Very good stereo - Never skips on even the worst corrugated roads! Plays MP3 cd's you can burn on your laptop! WA Registered, so no need to get Road Test Certificates! With: Spare tyre 20 litre and 5 litre fuel jerry cans 15 litre water container Plus Tent, Roll mats and Very colourful curtains for all the windows, means you can sleep in him in privacy.
